专利说明:

The present invention relates to the field of bracelets, especially for watches. It relates more particularly to a clasp bracelet folding clasp allowing different radii of curvatures.
Clasps with folding clasp are well known for their aesthetic appearance. Nevertheless, certain folding loops can make a watch uncomfortable if their curvature is not adapted to the wrist of the user. Their length can also be problematic: the rigidity of the blades of the loop can interfere because they can extend to the sides of the wrist of the user. The thickness of the loop can also be a cause of discomfort or discomfort. The clasp of a folding clasp is larger than that of a pin buckle, and this is especially true if the watch is big.
Unlike the folding clasp, the pin buckle is much thinner and it generates no discomfort due to friction. This is important, especially for people with small wrists.
[0004] EP 1 437 952 discloses a bracelet clasp comprising a first blade, a second blade articulated with the first blade and a lid. The lid includes a housing and a cover closing the lid. The housing has massive walls. The blades are interposed with each other to be in the same plane in the closed position. It is mentioned that the blades may for example be flexible but the mechanism used to keep the clasp closed requires not only blades of a certain thickness but also a certain rigidity.
The object of the present invention is to provide an extensible bracelet clasp which has the advantage of offering a possibility of increased flexibility when the clasp is in the closed position and can easily be worn by people with small wrists .
According to the invention, this object is achieved by a clasp with a folding clasp for a bracelet allowing different radii of curvature when the clasp is in the closed position. The clasp comprises a first and a second blade hinged relative to each other at a first end, the free end of the first blade having a hinge for articulating a first strand of a bracelet. The clasp comprises a loop or hinged bonnet (e) at the free end of the second blade and arranged to receive a second strand of a bracelet. An attachment system is disposed on the first and second blades to maintain in the closed position said first and second blades. The first and second blades, of the same width over the entire length and superimposed in the closed position of the loop, comprise a first flexible part and a second rigid part, the flexible part extending from the articulation of said blades. one relative to the other and over at least three quarters of the length of said blades. The rigid portion, disposed at the free end of each blade, comprises the attachment system for locking and unlocking said blades, said rigid and flexible parts being made from different materials or the same material but with inherent properties of rigidity and different flexibility.
In one embodiment, the clasp comprises an articulated loop at the free end of the second blade, arranged to be traversed by a second strand of a bracelet, said loop having a lug for insertion into a hole in the second strand of a bracelet.
In another embodiment, the clasp comprises a hinged cover at the free end of the second blade, arranged to receive a second strand of a bracelet and to adjust the size of the loop of the bracelet when the loop is closed.
In one embodiment, the flexible portions of the first and second blades have radii of curvature variable with respect to the radii of curvature of the rigid portions of the first and second blades.
Preferably, the rigid portions of the first and second blades may have a radius of curvature of zero or almost zero.
In a preferred embodiment, said first blade may comprise at its first end a transverse rod for an articulated connection with the first strand of a bracelet.
The free end of the second blade can be connected to the loop by a transverse rod for an articulated connection.
In one embodiment, the flexible portions of the first and second blade are each connected to a rod, said rods being articulated by an intermediate piece which connects them. According to this same embodiment, the intermediate piece may comprise two tubular parts fixed together side by side with a substantially eight-shaped cross section in which the two rods are received in one and the other.
The flexible portion and the rigid portion of the first and second blades can be connected by gluing, welding or by a hinge.
The attachment system may be composed of a hole on the rigid portion of the first blade and a protuberance on the rigid portion of the second blade, or a protuberance on the rigid portion of the first blade and a hole on the rigid portion of the second blade, the protuberance engaging the hole by pressure to close the attachment system.
The flexible portion of the first blade and the flexible portion of the second blade can be made from rubber, textile, synthetic materials or a braided metal including a Milanese mesh steel.
The characteristics of the invention will appear more clearly on reading a description of an embodiment, given solely by way of example, in no way limiting with reference to the schematic figures, in which:<tb> Fig. 1 <SEP> represents a side view of an open clasp, according to the present invention, and two strands of leather bracelets,<tb> Fig. 2 <SEP> represents a view from above of an open clasp comprising, on each of the two blades, a flexible part made of Milanese mesh and a rigid steel part, the rigid part of the first blade being connected to a strand of a leather bracelet,<tb> Fig. 3 <SEP> represents a side view of the clasp of FIG. 2,<tb> Fig. 4 <SEP> represents a perspective view of a clasp whose flexible part is in Milanese mesh and a hinged loop with the rigid part of the second blade,<tb> Fig. <SEP> represents a side view of a closed clasp, said rigid portion of the first blade being connected to a strand of a leather bracelet, and<tb> Fig. 6 <SEP> represents a perspective view of a closed clasp and two strands of leather bracelets, the bracelet being bent and the flexible blades of the clasp conforming to the shapes of the bracelet.
According to one embodiment of the invention as illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 6, the clasp with folding clasp comprises a first and a second blade 1, 2 hinged relative to each other at a first end 50, the free end of the first blade 1 having a hinge 51 to articulate a first strand 4 of a bracelet. A loop 3 is articulated to a free end 52 of the second blade 2 and arranged to be traversed by a second strand 5 of a bracelet, said loop 3 having a lug 6 intended to fit into a hole of a second strand 5 of a bracelet. An attachment system 7 is arranged on the first and second blades 1, 2 to maintain in the closed position said first and second blades 1, 2.
The first and second blades 1, 2, of the same width over the entire length and being superimposed (FIG 4) in the closed position of the loop comprise a first flexible portion 10, 20 in Milan mesh and a second part rigid 11, 21 steel, the flexible portion 10, 20 extending from the hinge 50 of said blades 1, 2 relative to each other and over at least three quarters of the length of said blades 1, 2 , for example as illustrated 4/5, the rigid portion 11, 21, disposed at the free end of each blade, comprises the attachment system 7 for locking and unlocking said blades 1, 2. Said rigid portions 11, 21 and flexible 10, 20 are for example made of the same material but with properties of different flexibility in this case, for example a braided metal and a metal plate form.
The flexible parts in Milan mesh 10, 20 of the first and second blades 1, 2 have radii of variable curvature with respect to the flat rigid portions 11, 21 of the first and second blades 1, 2.
The rigid flat parts 11, 21 of the first and second blades 1, 2 have a zero radius of curvature (FIG 3) and in a variant not shown, the rigid portions 11, 21 of the first and second blades 1, 2 can have a radius of curvature almost zero.
Said first blade 1 has at its end a transverse rod 60 allowing an articulated connection with the first strand 4 of a bracelet.
The second blade 2 is connected to the loop 3 by a transverse rod 61 providing an articulated connection.
The flexible portion 10, 20 and the rigid portion 11, 21 of the first and second blades 1, 2 are connected by welding in this illustrated example.
The attachment system 7 is composed of a hole on the rigid portion 11 of the first blade 1 and a protrusion on the rigid portion 21 of the second blade 2, the protrusion engaging in the hole by pressure to close the attachment system when the two blades 1, 2 are superimposed.
The flexible portion 10 of the first blade 1 and the flexible portion 20 of the second blade 2 are made of rubber, textile, synthetic materials or a braided metal including a Milanese mesh steel, as illustrated .
Finally, this bracelet clasp is specially adapted for use in connection with watches, but it could also be used for any other object worn on the wrist.
